URUGUAY is named in the 1972 Piccolo edition of the book The Making of Doctor Who as being one of 27 countries where the series had been shown. However, there is no record in any BBC sales documentation that the series was sold and shown there; this is likely to be a simple mistake (perhaps it should be Uganda?).

The 1996 TV Movie was shown on the HBO OLE cable station in 1999, and a run of Tom Baker stories was available on the satellite station Uniseries in early 2002.
