BBC TV listing in a Spanish newspaper: Dr Who Survival at 8.35pm (this is part 1, 22 November 1989)

From the late 1980s, BBC broadcasts were seen "live" in some countries in Europe via satellite (with the timeslots adjusted to allow for the different time zones).

Doctor Who was seen on a number of independent terrestrial and cable/satellite channels, as well as ones owned and operated by the BBC itself.
